Responsibilities

 

The warehouse driver will make deliveries to and from local satellite facilities in a safe manner. Prepare the transfers of manufactured and raw materials between warehouses. Move materials and supplies manually or by powered industrial truck, hand pallet truck to designated places in the building or onto trucks/containers.

 

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

  1. Drive vehicles for the purpose of transferring products, materials and equipment.
  2. Prepare materials for transfer between satellite warehouse locations; confer with supervisor for required transportation equipment.
  3. Basic inspection of vehicles including box truck, pickup truck and fork lift truck
  4. Driving between local warehouses in Hampshire
  5. Maintain vehicles for purpose of ensuring safe operations during use.
  6. During non-driving time will also support warehouse functions.
  7. Using forklift to load and offload vehicles in a safe manner for transportation to prevent damages.
  8. Assists in suppling stock at the production facility complete warehouse inventory movement’s forms.
  9. Confirm accuracy of all receiving transfer forms for materials received
  10. Receive products and material transfers and ensure they are properly stored.
  11. Arrange items in an organized manner to avoid damage or premature wear and tear.
  12. Organize and consolidate similar products to open warehousing spaces.
  13. Issue raw ingredients, components, equipment and finished products to production sites per work orders as needed.
  14. Load and unload raw material, components and finished products onto or from pallets, shelves, racks by hand.
  15. Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identifying discrepancies.
  16. Engage in weekly, monthly and yearly physical inventory of materials and components.
  17. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in warehouse facilities for safe working conditions.
  18. Wear all required personal protective equipment during the performance of job duties.
  19. Comply with company safety regulations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  20. Perform other duties as delegated.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Experience: Valid Class C driver’s license 
  • Specialized knowledge or training:1 year+ of Forklift driving experience
  • Travel required in this position:   None
