    The Assembly Quality Technician will be responsible for performing daily sampling procedures during the manufacturing and/or ingredient receiving processes.  He/she will assist in the data collection/recording and procedures that ensure raw materials, WIP’s, co-manufactured and on-site manufactured finished products comply with quality standards and specifications.  Assisting with the monitoring and verification of product-to-package and label consistencies on work orders is a key team contribution.  


    Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

    • Perform incoming sampling of ingredients, co-manufactured finished goods, packaging materials, WIP’s and finished products as directed by QA lead.
    • Monitor and document in-process conditions, materials, and products as directed.
    • Collect, label and document samples for microbiological and nutritional testing of ingredients, WIP’s, and finished products as directed.
    • Prepare and ship ingredients and finished product samples to outside labs as directed.
    • Assist in auditing and checking assembly, production, processing, and paperwork items utilizing a Quality checklist.
    • Assist in Quality checks of warehoused ingredients, WIP’s and finished goods on a 30-day rotation.
    • Collect, label, store, and track retain samples as directed.
    • Monitor GMP conditions as directed.
    • Assist in complaint investigations if necessary as directed by management.
    • Assist in performing analytical testing of ingredients, WIP’s and finished products under management direction.
    • Process appropriate paperwork for Quality functions.
    • Understanding and adhering to GMPs and SOP processes is also expected.
    • Use, calibrate, sanitize and monitor Quality equipment as assigned.
    • Position requires ability to work effectively with production, inventory control, and warehouse personnel.
    • Perform or assist with additional assignments as directed by Quality management.



    • High School Diploma or GED. 
    • Basic understanding of scientific methodology and familiarity with basic laboratory equipment.
    • Basic knowledge of GMP’s, Food Safety standards.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Preferred qualities:

    • Successful completion of high school AP Chemistry or one year of college Chemistry or Microbiology is a plus but not required.
