The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for trouble shooting and repairs of plant and production equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical functions and systems. Assist in Installation of new and used equipment.  Perform preventative maintenance activities. Possess basic hand tools.


Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

  1. Ensure work is performed safely at all times.
  2. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  3. Repair and maintenance of production and building equipment.
  4. Perform preventive maintenance functions.
  5. Move and install equipment that may require electrical, gas, and compressed air services.
  6. Perform some electrical repairs including AC & DC motor controls, solid state motor controls, advance circuits and grounding diagrams; test equipment within skill range.
  7. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
  8. The skill and ability to use common hand tools, power tools.
  9. Use a stick welder.
  10. Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, and manuals and schematics.
  11. Provide support to Process Improvement projects and participate on safety teams.
  12. Operate forklifts and high lifts.
  13. Able to climb ladders and work at high elevations.
  14. All other duties as may be assigned.



  • Education: High school education and 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience: Experience in food manufacturing is a plus. Basic knowledge of GMP’s and HACCP’s.
  • Specialized knowledge or training: Ability to work effectively with production, warehouse and office personnel. Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. 
  • Travel required in this position: up to 10% local travel if needed.
