Position: Equipment Set-up Specialist I                            


Reports to:      Production Manager                                                 ☐ Exempt

Job Summary:

Assist Production Management in proper equipment layout of production lines, positioning of personnel on those line, training and enforcement of all applicable cGMP’s and SOP’s. The position also includes the scheduling and successful execution of weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on all non-Proin operational equipment as well as the procurement and maintenance of spare parts to suppport this preventative maintenance.


Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

  1. Recognize Subject Matter Expert (SME) concerning key critical pieces of operational equipment.
  2. Lead trainer of equipment set-up and operation to production leads and key new employees.
  3. Responsible for the scheduling and successful execution of all weekly/monthly preventative maintenance.
  4. SME concerning mechanical function of equipment and set-up on non-Proin production lines.
  5. CVC Pressure Sensitive Labeler trouble-shooter and set-up operator.
  6. Set-up operator/Trainer ont eh ProSys tube filling machine for all products including Surpass and Cameo.
  7. Assigns packaging personnel as necessary.
  8. Provides individualized training on equipment and procedures to potential new operators and leads.
  9. Operates equipment and provides adjustments as necessary to maintain production efficiency.
  10. Provides guidance and enforcement of all cGMP’s and SOP’s.
  11. Responsible for keeping adequate levels of parts and materials available to perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment that he is reponsible for.
  12. Assist Maintenance personnel as necessary.
  13. All other duties as may be assigned.



  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: must have at least a Packager 3 level experience or above
  • Specialized knowledge or training: strong mechanical aptitude and good trouble-shooting skills; strong organziational and communication skills; good people skills as it relates to training and motivation.
  • Travel required in this position 0-10%
