  • Overview

    Growth of assigned brands and product lines in the US through life cycle management to achieve sales targets.  Provide primary and secondary support for other products as assigned.


    • Continue to refine and implement the strategic marketing plan (and assigned tasks) for key products, while assisting Manufacturing in regards to inventory/production schedule and collaborating with Regulatory Affairs regarding materials review/general updates.
    • Annually propose and reach agreement with Director of Sales as to product forecast, pricing, sales programs, selling collateral and promotional activities for assigned products.
    • Develop annual media, collateral and promotional budget based on sales volume and market research data analysis. Manage provided advertising and promotion dollars to minimize spend with maximum results.  Monitor and provide periodic update on year-to-date spend when requested.
    • Create technical materials for training and use by key individuals (employees, distributors, veterinarians, pet owners), as well as, content for related media and selling collateral for product promotion. Direct and/or manage applicable product/program web sites and pages as needed.
    • Work with any third-party partners, Director of Sales and other resources to plan, implement and measure marketing campaigns to achieve targeted sales goals. This includes, but not limited to, advertising scheduling/placement, selling collateral development and periodic and ongoing promotional programs communications with distributor partners.
    • Liaison between sales, procurement and manufacturing to continually provide updates on inventory levels in order to ensure proper supply for customers.
    • When needed, initiate and work with internal team, outside partners and Regulatory Affairs for the production of accurate, attractive and cost effective labels and sales literature.
    • Complete periodic sales and market reviews for assigned products. This may include competitive analysis, share trends and margin comparisons.  Provide bi-monthly selling activity updates to Director of Sales to assist in development of monthly executive report.
    • Support distribution sales efforts for applicable PRN Pharmacal products by working with distributor partners and other customers for training, programs, co-op advertising, sponsorships, advertising, etc.
    • Perform the above duties for any other new products as may be assigned.
    • Attend trade shows, sales meetings, customer meetings and other relevant functions as primary product contact.


    • Education: Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree a plus
    • Experience: 5 years of experience in marketing related field. Strong preference for animal health industry experience.
    • Specialized knowledge: Clear expertise in BtoB and BtoC marketing required, experience with emerging media a plus.
    • Special skills: Clear understanding of FDA/CVM processes and regulations as relates to product development and marketing.  
    • Other skills: High proficiency in MS Office Suite, strong analytical and communications skills, with ability to thrive in transparent, teamwork-focused environment essential.
    • Travel required for this position is: Approximately 15%.
