To provide technical assistance and support to internal sales groups. Assist end user with questions about PBI-Gordon products. Provide on site training for key accounts as needed.
Have a working knowledge of PBI-Gordon products, competitor products, and active ingredients.
Answer questions coming in through 800 number and local number. Calls can exceed 100/day during peak season (April – October). Keep a daily log of all calls.
Answer questions via email for consumer and professional groups.
Take the lead in product complaints and resolution for complaints.
Answer questions on the tractor supply website.
Help regulatory generate weed list data for new products.
Keep a log of all claims against PBI-Gordon products.
Attend field day and continuing education programs to stay current with new products.
Able to work in a cross functional team with other departments within PBI-Gordon.
Provide 1 or 2 educational seminars for PBI-Gordon staff on how to best maintain their lawns.
Education: Associates degree or B.S. degree in a biological science or equivalent
Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experience in the turf and ornamental field
Specialized knowledge or training: Sprayer calibration and operation for hand pump up sprayers, small tow behind sprayers and larger ride on sprayers. Proper timing for herbicide, insecticide and fungicide applications to achieve best control and minimize any non-target damage.
